4 people
I told a woman yesterday “Excuse me, but I can’t have you going table to table to solicit and sell things. We are a restaurant and can’t have this.”
“What? I can’t just give them information?”
“No.” and I wanted to add that especially not when you’re telling people about a weight loss solution that works when it obviously does nothing for you.
I also had to tell a man that he could not set up live music in the middle of the store during lunch hour unless I spoke to my manager on the phone and made sure it actually was approved 3 weeks ago since it was absolute news to me.
And so apparently because of all of this, 4 people went up to the register, asked who the manager was, and said that I was mean, rude, or just plain unfriendly.
Look. I don’t know how to say these sort of things nicely when you’re being a privileged snot acting like you can do whatever you like in our store.
And I didn’t even tell 4 people to stop eating the food they brought in. I was having a nice day.
